I also have a bestselling book on Amazon for women, Starting Over, who find themselves having a money crisis due to divorce, a break-up or any other event that causes a changed in finances. I wrote this book because I had to learn how to manage my money after my divorce and to become more educated when it comes to my finances.
Here is an “excerpt” from my book:
“When it comes to financial matters, women are still behind. This has been revealed by several research findings over the years. I’ve combined two major studies below taken on a national and international level. The first report covers how women perform on surveys and exams that deal with financial terms and literacy. The second report was released by the World Economic Forum and addresses gender equality.
The first set of research is a collection of studies released in a combined report by the Library of Congress, and cover a period from 2006 through 2010. They’re important because they reveal just how behind women are in matters of finance and money management. They’re lacking, however, because they don’t provide all the answers and most of them focus on exams that cover concepts. While learning financial terms are important, some were too technical for the average investor.”
